Underwater electronic housing made from 1/32 stainless steel serving pan mated to 1/2" aluminum plate and 1/2 clear Lexan

 

Here you can see the O-ring, although this one is not complete. There are specific sizes that you must cut the groove for a given O-ring size. You can look this up on an O-ring sizing chart.

Close up of the O-ring and the seal that is visible through the clear Lexan. The corners would have been better it they were rounder, but it still worked. 

 

Here is a close up of the O-ring and the bolts pressing the Lexan to the aluminum plate.

 

Submersing under water, usually it it works in 1 to 2 feet of water it will work deeper!
